Today, the country is celebrating 74th Independence Day amid Corona crisis. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made 10 big announcements for the citizens of the country from the ramparts of the Red Fort. In his 86-minute speech, PM Modi spoke on issues like self-sufficient India, corona crisis, terrorism and expansionism. PM Modi announced to start with the immediate effect of a big scheme like National Digital Health Mission giving health cards to every citizen. Apart from this, he also talked about a new cybersecurity policy regarding digitization happening in the country. At the same time, for India struggling with the Corona crisis, the Prime Minister said that work is going on on three vaccines in the country, production will be expedited as soon as they are ready. 1. National Digital Health Mission: The Prime Minister announced the biggest announcement from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the National Digital Health Mission. He told the people about this health mission. He said another big campaign is going to start in the country from today. This is the National Digital Health Mission. The National Digital Health Mission will bring a new revolution in India's health sector. PM Modi said, now every Indian will be given a health card. Your every test, every disease, which doctor gave you which medicine, when, what were your reports, all this information will be contained in this one health ID.

 

2. COVID-19 Vaccine: Giving information on the corona vaccine, Prime Minister Modi said, "Today, not one, not two, but three vaccines of Korana are currently under testing phase in India. As soon as scientists get the green signal, the country's preparation is also for mass production of those vaccines.

 

3. Submarine optical fiber for internet in the Lakshadweep: Prime Minister Modi told the country, in the next 1000 days, Lakshadweep will also be connected with submarine optical fiber cable. He said, there are more than 1300 islands in our country. Some of these islands are in the process of starting new development plans, keeping in view their geographical location, their importance in the development of the country. It is worth noting that recently, optical fiber cables have also been provided in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

 

4. Optical fiber network will be laid for better access to the Internet in villages: In order to provide internet facility in every village of the country, PM Modi announced to connect it with optical fiber. He said, before 2014, only 5 dozen panchayats in the country were connected with optil fiber. In the last five years, 1.5 lakh gram panchayats in the country have been connected with optical fiber. This goal will be met in the coming thousand days. In the coming 1000 days, every village in the country will be connected with optical fiber.

 

5. New Cyber Security Policy: Prime Minister Modi said, a new national cybersecurity strategy has been drafted in the country. India is alert, cautious and is taking decisions to counter these threats and is constantly developing new systems. The new cybersecurity policy will be introduced soon.

 

6. Infrastructure development will cost Rs 100 lakh crore: Regarding infrastructure in India, Prime Minister Modi said, a very big plan has been prepared to connect the entire country with multi-modal connectivity infrastructure. The country is moving towards spending more than Rs 100 lakh crore on this. About 7 thousand projects of different sectors have also been identified. In a way, it will be like a new revolution in infrastructure.

 

7. Expansion of NCC: PM Modi announced the expansion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) from the ramparts of the Red Fort. He said, now the expansion of NCC will be ensured to 173 border and coastal districts of the country. About 1 lakh new NCC cadets will be given special training under this campaign. In this also, about one-third of the daughters will be given this special training.

 

8. Project Lion and Dolphin to be launched for lions and dolphins: The Prime Minister announced the project Lion and Dolphin in India while addressing the country. He said, India is fully sensitive to the conservation and promotion of its biodiversity. In the recent past, the population of tigers and tigers in the country has increased at a rapid pace! Now a project Lion is also going to be started for our Asian lions in the country. In addition, the project will also be run for dolphin conservation.

 

9. Emphasis on strengthening relations with neighboring countries: PM Modi emphasized on further strengthening of relations with neighboring countries. He said, with our neighboring countries, whether they are connected to us by land or from the sea, we are connecting our relations with security, development and trust sharing. 10. Pollution Reduction Campaign: Prime Minister Modi discussed the plan to eliminate pollution from cities on the 74th anniversary of the country's independence. He said, a special campaign is also being worked on with a holistic approach to reduce pollution in 100 selected cities of the country.

SEBI introduces a new category of funds flexi-cap in mutual funds

  Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has introduced a new fund category, Flexi-cap, in mutual funds. According to the circular, mutual funds in this category need to invest at least 65 per cent of the portfolio in equities. However, there is no restriction in terms of allocation to market capitalization range and they can dynamically shift across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap. So, effectively, the new category of the fund in a mutual fund is how SEBI used to define the multi-cap category until it changed the category's mandate.   On September 11, 2020, SEBI issued a circular informing about the change in the mandate of the multi-cap fund's category.
