The proposal to set up a National

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 19, 2020. The National Recruitment Agency
(NRA) is a multi-agency body that is Group B and Group C In order to shortlist
the candidates for (non-technical) posts, the Common Eligibility Test (CET)
will be conducted. NRA governing body will also include representatives from
the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance or Department of Financial
Services, SSC, RRB and IBPS. Therefore we can say that the NRA will be an expert a body that will follow state-of-the-art technology and best practices in the
recruitment of Central Government.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA):
Key Features
The Common Eligibility Test (CET)
will be conducted twice in a year. Separate CET will be conducted for
candidates with graduation, 12th pass and 10th pass to facilitate recruitment
on vacancies at various levels. Under the NRA, a major change will be that CET
will be conducted in 12 major Indian languages. As we know that recruitment in
central government jobs is done only in English and Hindi languages.
Initially, CET will cover the Staff
Selection Commission, Railway Recruitment Board and Institute of Banking
Personnel Selection Recruitment for the three agencies. It will be expanded but
in a phased manner. To overcome the currently prevalent urban bias, the CET
will be conducted in about 1000 centres across India. The examination centre
will be in every district of the country. Special attention will be given on
creating examination structure in aspirational districts, which will help the
candidates to reach the examination centres near their place of residence.
To shortlist the candidates, the CET
will be the first level examination and the CET score will be valid for three
years. Under NRA, CET will be subject to an upper age limit. There will be no
limitation on the number of opportunities for candidates to participate in the CET
exam. According to the current policy of the government, candidates belonging
to SC / ST / OBC and other categories will be given upper age relaxation.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA):
Benefits for Students
This will remove the hassle of
appearing in various types of examinations. It will also reduce the financial
burden which is imposed in many examinations through single examination fee.
This will also save the travel time, cost of living, etc. for the candidates,
as the examination will be conducted in every district. It will also encourage
more women candidates to appear in the exam or apply for government jobs.
Applicants will be required to register on a single registration portal. Under
the NRA there will be no need to worry about a clash in the exam dates.
National Recruitment Agency (NRA):
Benefits for Institutions
NRA will remove the hassle of
conducting the preliminary or screening test of the candidates. This will also
significantly reduce the recruitment cycle. It will also bring standardization
in the examination pattern. It will also reduce the cost of various recruitment
agencies thus bringing about Rs. 600 crore is expected to be saved.
Along with all this, the government
has also planned to provide outreach and awareness facility in rural and remote
areas to familiarize the candidates with the online examination system. Also,
to answer the questions, a 24X7 helpline will be set up. Let us also tell you
that the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will be a society registered under
the Societies Registration Act. It will be headed by the President of the rank
of Secretary to the Government of India. National Recruitment Agency (NRA)
governing body will also include representatives from the Ministry of Railways,
Ministry of Finance / Department of Financial Services, SSC, RRB and IBPS. The
